Warrel Dane’s guitarists share memories of the singer’s life in Brazil and talk about “Shadow Work”

Brazilian guitarists Johnny Moraes and Thiago Oliveira answered a couple of questions we raised regarding the making of the second solo record by Warrel Dane, “Shadow Work”. Almost one year since his sad departure due to a heart attack, Dane’s last musical work was released. Unfortunately, he did not make it that far to see the final shape of his ideas materializing. A natural baritone singing his heavy-hearted poetry, Warrel Dane was undoubtedly a unique voice in the heavy metal. Moraes and Oliveira shared various memories of the singer’s life in Brazil by recounting his favourite places in São Paulo and other short moments. They were kind enough to illustrate these memories and sent us footage from the rehearsal space where the American singer performed, the place where he lived and other urban corners connected with his life. Watch the video interview below to get a glimpse of the last part of Dane’s burdensome life.
